EVENTS & ENTERTAINMENT, LOCAL GROUPS & ACTIVITIES

The Village of Old Kilpatrick in West Dunbartonshire sits between the towns of Dumbarton and Clydebank on the outskirts of Glasgow in Scotland.

Old Kilpatrick that sits under the Erskine Bridge and on the banks of the River Clyde on the outskirts of Glasgow. Our community website was founded back in 2012. It’s here to keep the locals informed and to give people from farther afield an insight to what Old Kilpatrick looks like today and in days gone past.

OLD KILPATRICK COMMUNITY WEBSITE

SOCIAL COMMUNICATION

Our social pages continue to grow – over the past five years we have slowly extended our network. We’re now on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube and we have a Google profile too. The new website will continue to focus on giving you interaction via social – whilst you read, like and share our posts.

GROUPS & ACTIVITIES

We want to help local groups and organisations that are in the heart of the community get their message out there to more people than before. Groups that hold daily and weekly activities like the Napier Toddlers, The Boys Brigade, Action OK, The Bowling Harbour Project.

Across the village each year there are a number of exciting and worth while events held for both kids and adults. We want to help advertise these events. Lets make sure that each and every event that happens in Old Kilpatrick is a outstanding success!

Gavinburn Primary Pupil Blog!

We’ve been working with some of the Primary 6 pupils at Gavinburn Primary and they have been trained on how to post articles to this dedicated news section that has been setup for for the school – helping them get their latest news and important messages out to parents, guardians, family, friends and the people of Old Kilpatrick via our site and social pages.

You can also visit their twitter feed where can read all about what’s going on daily at the school and see their latest classroom photos. Check out their tweets and don’t forget to visit their website there’s lots of useful info related to the school on there!

The pupils will now think of great subjects, topics and news articles that they can write to go live as and when they get the chance. This is an exciting time as we are giving them the responsibility of keeping us all updated to what goes on whilst they are at school, giving us all an insight to their education and what they enjoy doing at school.
